New Christmas Painting

Posted on Oct 22, 2013

I’ve been working on an idea for our new 2013 Christmas release through Infinity Fine Art! I usually do a small 8″x10″ or 9″x12″ painting, called a “study”, in order to get my idea on canvas. Then I work at tweaking the composition and colors and adding or taking away details in order to refine my idea. I just finished this new one and I have a lot of folks really enjoying it, and its bee getting lots of likes and positive comments on facebook! Not sure on what to title it, but when I make a larger sized version of it to make prints of, hopefully I will have a title. Hope you enjoy it and I’ll be sure to post a picture of the final painting!!! I cant wait ’til...

New Oil Paintings

Posted on Oct 21, 2013

I love the texture and vibrant color I get from oils! Plus, they’re a lot easier to blend since they don’t dry as fast as acrylics. I thought I’d share a few of them with you! I did a little series of the Cades Cove area in the Smoky Mountains! I hope you enjoy them!!...

West Trip

Posted on Oct 21, 2013

Hey everybody! I’m always in search of reference material so I took the trip out west to sight-see, gain inspiration, and take thousands of photos! I was so blessed to experience so much overwhelming beauty in Colorado, Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, and Montana! I’ve attached a painting I did of the Grand Teton Mountains in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I visited in late September and the aspens and cottonwood trees were spectacular! I saw elk, bison, moose, mule deer, antelope, a variety of waterfowl, and also a very friendly porcupine who greeted me one night outside my cabin! I did not want to come home, it was so beautiful! But I have memories and numerous painting ideas! Keep looking for...
